GENERAL INFORMATION

FESTIVAL HOURS
Saturday, April 12, 2008: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday, April 13, 2008: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

ADMISSION
$2 person per day / Free for youth 5 & under

Moulton Advertiser Information Booth
This booth will be manned with knowledgeable volunteers for questions regarding the festival.

CB&S Bank Buck
All purchases at the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival will be made with CB&S Bank Bucks. You may purchase Bank Bucks at designated ticket booths within the festival grounds.

Event Souvenirs
Event t-shirts and caps will be available for purchase at the festival. Souvenirs may be purchased at the Moulton Advertiser Information Booth and at the Festival T-Shirt booth at the festival.

Parking

Parking for the festival is free. The Chalybeate Volunteer Fire Department is directing and coordinating all parking at the festival. Donations to the Chalybeate Volunteer Fire Department will be accepted on site. Handicap parking will be available with proper handicap plaque.

Parking is available in front of and behind Lawrence County High School, behind the Board of Education building, the parking lot of the Lawrence County Library. Overflow parking will be in the parking lot of H. A. Alexander Park on Court St. RE/MAX Valley Pros Shuttles will be utilized for transportation from H. A. Alexander Park to the Fairgrounds.

First Aid
Greg’s Ambulance Service will sponsor the events first aid tent and will be first response for any first aid needs at the festival.

Road Closings
Byler Road will be closed for 15 minutes from 9:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. on Saturday for safety precautions for the fireworks show.

Traffic
School Street and College Street (in front of Library) will be open to one-way traffic during the days of the festival for incoming traffic only. The roads will reopen to two-way traffic immediately following the fireworks show on Saturday night and at the end of the festival on Sunday afternoon.

Lost & Found
All lost and found items will be coordinated at the Moulton Advertiser Information Booth on site at the festival.

VIP SEATING FOR POULTRY FARMERS
Smith Poultry and Hardware and the David Burt Agency - Insurance and Financial Services, will sponsor the popular "Proud To Be A Poultry Farmer" promotion. This promotion will allow poultry farmers attending the festival VIP seating in selected areas and was established to recognize the importance of poultry

farmers to the largest industry in the state.

Arts and Crafts – Continuous
Children will be encouraged to make their own egg magnet. All materials are provided and the children can take home a souvenir of the their visit to the festival.
Children will be given the opportunity to make a craft activity compliments of Home Depot.
Face painting, coloring sheets, duck pull, and spoon and egg race will go all day, both days.
Especially for the 5 and under – Tot lot – open during the hours of the Children’s area.

Egg Drop for Future Engineers
The contest is for students who have pre-registered will be held in the Citizens Bank Children’s Coop.

1:00 p.m. Bar-b-que wing eating – sign up at the Moulton Advertiser Information Booth and the event will be at the Joe Wheeler Tent. Event Sponsored by John’s Bar-b-que

3:00 p.m. Egg Eating Contest – Sign up at the Moulton Advertiser Information Booth and the event will be at the Joe Wheeler Tent. Event sponsored by NHC Healthcare.

Regions Bank – Karaoke For Big Chickens
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. On stage behind the Jackson House
